#127: Primary Results Review
Podcast: Play in new window
We welcomed Erika Lari from OSD4All and Rob Richards, political consultant, to walk through the results of the 2025 August Primary. While we talked a little bit about non-Olympia stuff, we focused our discussion on Olympia-centric races.

I think the combined campaigning of VanderPool and Geiger also was impactful. I met Justin and liked him. I met Caleb and liked him a lot, plus I didn’t want to vote for ‘establishment’ or just cuz a guy was a great fundraiser. I asked for a Caleb yard sign, and it arrived with a Vanderpool yard sign. So I felt a little bad (for Justin) but I put it up, and I voted for Robert – only because he was packaged with Caleb. I wonder how many others did same (in either direction).

@admin Can you reference a backgrounder for people new to the area please? I was completely at sea trying to follow this episode.
The two links in the post are to my blog posts where I write more about the results. But I’m curious what questions you have. We talk about things so granularly on the podcast, I think maybe it would be interesting to do a 101 level episode to fill in the blanks.

Amazing analysis brought to the forefront by The Olympia Standard. Lawyers aren’t just people too, they are a touch more peoplee than regular people, and everyone wants more peoplee people.
