Next campaign consider the problem of people in Olympia frequently getting run over by cars and killed/injured. This is nothing short of a public health crisis. Vanderpool got my vote solely on his understanding of Olympia’s largely unaddressed car problem (which is inextricably tied into its housing crisis).
Not supporting Prop 1 also diminished Stang’s credibility. Would I work for an employer that didn’t offer the guarantees of Prop 1? No. And I am certain most Olympians would say the same despite the unfortunate outcome of the vote.
